We believe everyone of all sizes should be able to look and feel their best in our colourful take on modern femininity.
A Penchant For Rainbows
Olivia Rubin launched her first womenswear line after graduating from the world-renowned Central Saint Martins College in London. Her final collection was chosen for the prestigious press show and won immediate attention from the press who cited her printed designs as one of the ‘standout collections’. Her persistence and enthusiasm scored her work with Alexander McQueen, Dior and John Galliano in Paris, where she assisted with Galliano’s main line collections, designing prints that were chosen for his womenswear lines.
After taking a few years out to focus on her family, Rubin returned with a revived brand, bringing back her unique take on modern femininity and focusing on bestselling dresses, standout skirts and brightly coloured prints. Rubin’s penchant for rainbows and popular multicoloured sequins built her a strong industry presence in a short space of time. The brand is a regular in leading international fashion titles and is fast- gaining global recognition for its joyful designs in signature colours.
The First Steps
The brand begins from Olivia's dining room table after having two kids and from the desire to create a happy and colourful aesthetic for herself and her friends. Olivia debuts the first rainbow sequin skirt via Instagram.
The brand starts to wholesale to worldwide stockists for SS19. Pop ups in Selfridges and Saks New York follow. The original Mika cardigan launches for pre order later this year in July and becomes an instant classic.
London Fashion Week
AW20 saw the second on schedule presentation at The ICA during London Fashion Week. The 80's inspired collection was splashed with signature pops of colour and bold checks.
The brand launches inclusive sizing from UK - UK24 and XS - XXL. As part of our journey towards better size inclusivity each season we aim to improve our size offering and we do regular fittings.
Pop Up Store
The first Olivia Rubin standalone store opens on Marylebone High Street as a pop up. Later that month Olivia Rubin x Liberty Home launches. The first homeware collection applies the same maximalist approach across a range of soft furnishings and tableware.
May sees the launch of the first Olivia Rubin Kids collection. Available in sizes 2 - 11 the collection features brand new styles and replicas of signature womenswear styles - perfect for matching with your mini me - all in uplifting print and colours.
